Community Engagement Lead

David is a social scientist and a Community Development Professional with 20+ years of proven programme implementation and management experience in public health issues, community development, advocacy and research.

David is currently the Community Engagement Lead for the Girl generation programme whose vision is a world where girls and women can exercise their power and rights have expanded choice and agency and be free from all forms of violence including FGM/C.

In the past, David has worked in various programmes at Amref Health Africa aimed at changing the attitude of community members and gate keepers to take action to prevent female genital mutilation/cutting, child marriages and teenage pregnancies.

David is also a national resource in Kenya as a Master Trainer in sexuality Education, and above all a champion in ending FGM/C.
