Endline Evaluation Reports

The Girl Generation’s endline evaluation assessed the extent to which intended results were received and captured learning to inform future programming. The specific objectives were to:

• Assess shifts in knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, leadership and movement building around FGM

• Understand the contribution of the programme to these changes

• Document learnings from programme implementation, including what worked, what did not, and the probable sustainability of achievements.

APHRC, an Africa-based and Africa-led research institution, led the evaluation in Garissa (Kenya), Senegal and Somaliland, as well as producing three learning briefs (on ‘What Works?’ to end FGM, girl-centred approaches, and the Model Health Facility), and an integrated summary report of all evaluation components.Population Council, which led The Girl Generation’s sister programme, the FGM Data Hub, led endline studies in Narok and Isiolo (Kenya), and Somaliland.
