Prof. Samuel Kimani

Integration Lead

Samuel Kimani is a health expert, researcher, and an Associate Professor at the faculty of health, University of Nairobi & Africa Centre for Abandonment of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (ACCAF). He is the integration lead in the TGG-ALM programme. 

He has over 15 years’ experience in global health research, programming and capacity building. He has extensively researched on FGM/C with particular interest on health impacts of FGM/C, medicalization of FGM/C and health system response to FGM/C.

 He provides training, capacity building, evidence communication and advocacy to health providers, researchers, policy makers, programmers and implementers on elimination of FGM/C. He has published widely and presented papers in national and international scientific meetings.
