Dr. Jacinta Muteshi-Strachan is the Team Lead for The Girl Generation: Support to the Africa-led Movement to End FGM/C (TGG-ALM) programme, where she provides overall strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight to advance a bold, connected, and sustainable Africa-led movement to end FGM. She guides programme delivery across multiple countries and partners, ensuring that evidence, advocacy, and survivor leadership remain central to impact.

A globally recognised expert in gender equality, women’s rights, reproductive health, and constitutional processes, Jacinta brings decades of experience as a researcher, programme director, and advisor. She has led large, international, multi-year research, evaluation, and advocacy programmes, strengthening policy environments and supporting transformative change for women and girls.
