Policy and Advocacy Lead 

Catherine leads policy and advocacy efforts among consortium partners at multiple levels across the programme’s four focal countries — Senegal, Somalia (Somaliland), Kenya, and Ethiopia. She provides strategic leadership, technical support, and capacity strengthening to Amref Country Offices, consortium partners, programme grantees, and frontline community champions.

Prior to joining Amref Health Africa, Catherine focused on evidence-based policymaking and advocacy efforts in key areas including Health Financing, Girls’ Education, Family Planning, Reproductive Health, Adolescent and Sexual Reproductive Health, and the elimination of Gender-Based Violence, including Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

She has extensive experience in designing and executing impactful advocacy strategies and campaigns; driving policy and budget advocacy; advancing social norms and behaviour change interventions; influencing policy processes; policy writing and communication; coordinating high-level advocacy events; project and stakeholder management.

Catherine is deeply passionate about advancing the rights of women and girls and improving their health and quality of life.
